ABOUT ME

Hello all!

My wife Claudia and I are a Chilean married couple that love traveling, meeting new people and learning new things from other cultures. Our home town is the capital of Chile, Santiago, but now we are taking a year off. We first lived in Washington DC for seven months, studying English and meeting wonderful people. On September 11th we started a big trip to China for one month and now we are in Europe. We'll be here until Christmas and go back to our home in Chile.

PHILOSOPHY

We've experienced that courage gives the joy that people need to have internal peace, be happy and be free. If you don't do something to change what is making you feel unhappy, everything will remain the same. Changes must come from you, not from others. No one will knock on your door offering a new life. You have to look for it by yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We signed up on CS 2 years ago. We have experienced hosting and being guests through hospitalityclub and CS. We have met people from the US, Germany, Russia and China. We are always in touch and we've traveled again to their houses and some of them they have come to ours in Chile.
Now we are traveling, so we can not host people, but we are glad to help in any way we can and we are back we'll be happy to host and show around our hometown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We stayed at a CS member's house in Chicago in March and in Moscow in October of the current year. It was a great experience! We've also met nice CS friends in Suzhou, Pingyao and Beijing, China.

Interests

We love traveling, learning new languages, listening to good music, having an interesting conversation, cooking, biking, going out for dinner and be free!
