About Me
CURRENT MISSION
In February of 2010 my life was completely out of balance with work. No time for family, friends, eating right, or my passion; travel. I took 2 years off to do every wacky thing I ever imagined. Couch Surfing was a WONDERFUL part of that experience!
ABOUT ME
I love the outdoors and traveling.
I have been accused of thinking I have 48 hours in my day instead of 24.
Family and close friends are extremely important to me. I love to cook and bake for any one who likes to eat.
I am very spontaneous and will say yes to almost anything that sounds fun. This can sometimes get me into trouble as I would gladly accept (and mostly do) the 'bigger better deal' instead of what I am supposed to do.
75% of the time I would prefer to be with other people interacting socially. 25% of the time I like to chill by myself, this must be followed by the 75% of interacting with others rule as listed above.
I live to see the joy and the smile when people see something incredible for the first time such as the Grand Canyon or the North Shore of MN.
I am a Jack of all trades, master of some, but mostly I know a little about a lot of things. I don't bore easily, I can always drum up some kind of activity or fun for myself. I am even better with a group, I am able to motivate people to do things they did not know they had in themselves.
I am a genuinely happy person,it takes a lot to get my blood to boil. I have learned when that happens, it is always more about me and my own stuff than the situation I believe upset me in the first place.
I am an absolute travel junkie! I cant seem to ever get enough of it. The more places I travel to, the more I learn about and have to add to my "list". I have traveled extensively both in the US and abroad and am looking forward to continuing the dream! :) Happy Travels to one and all~
PHILOSOPHY
I believe you are what you think, thoughts become things, and life will unfold some pretty amazing opportunities/experiences if you can stay present and get out of your own way. I try to stay in a place of gratitude for the incredible life I have lived thus far, this seems to propel me into even more fantastic situations. What can I say? I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have had great experiences so far with every host and traveler from CS! If you are in Northern Minnesota and wish to see some of the magic in these parts, send me a message! I am currently a happy host now, hoping to pour some happiness onto fellow travelers. I get a lot of spam from Couch Surfing so you will have to send a personal request to my email. Please write me at chileflygirl@yahoo.com. with requests. If you just send a request from this email I may not receive it! Also, we love the connecting part of CS...if you just want to "crash" somewhere I can recommend some local accommodations. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have informally done a bit of couch surfing over the years staying with friends or friends of friends. I traveled for 2 years and had the opportunity to meet SO many new CS friends. The best part of this organization is when you get to meet up with with people you surfed with or hosted in the future while you are out traveling...its like seeing a family member. What a wonderful community!

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE all music! I am not particular about what kind I will listen to almost anything. I am particularly fond of bluegrass, reggae, blues, jazz, country and yes hip-hop top 40.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cant pick one. I have at least one incredible experience per journey(or more). Really... I can't pick one!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been a teacher in each of my occupations, I love to teach and I love to learn. I love to cook and learn about different cuisine and pastries as well. This is one of my favorite things to do with a fellow CS'er!
What I Can Share with Hosts
We have a small home in Lutsen Minnesota overlooking Lake Superior. We can offer a restful night sleep, a great cup of coffee in the morning, friendly conversation and tips on what to see and do in the area.
