About Me

CURRENT MISSION

break bread and talk story around the world

ABOUT ME

Health, happiness and love spins my world and I am most satisfied when sharing with others. After 25 years in the contemporary art world working variously in education, non profit, museums, galleries and exhibiting internationally, I checked out of the rat race and moved to Hawaii for love, for life, for surf. Next step is an extended journey throughout South America, to practice my Spanish and salsa; to see the sites, to hear the sounds and especially to visit with friends I have yet to meet! Aloha, Christie

Over the last year I have assisted in building two aquaponic systems on the island of Oahu. One in Olomana Gardens that contains over 1500 fish and a smaller one in Kaneohe. I also helped build, deliver and assemble two worm gardens to a middle school on North Shore. I love showing people how to build and grow gardens and look forward to learning from a culture that has been growing for thousands of years. Willie

PHILOSOPHY

"We are not here for a long time, just a GREAT time!", Willie

Love rules! Christie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surfing all around the island of Oahu. Lunar New Year in Hong Kong and Beijing. Solo hiking in Glacier National Park. Burning Man. I find most live concerts to be amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to roast the perfect chicken and a dozen delicious ways to enjoy eating your veggies; cool hula hoop tricks, tie 10 kinds of knots, a Hawaiian vamp on the ukulele, sew, draw and build. Christie

I love showing new friends what I love most about life. I've been lucky enough to learn how to catch a wave body surfing, on a boogie board, a surfboard and SUP and I would love to teach anyone who is willing to join me. I've also spent 10 years skiing the steepest terrain in Lake Tahoe, Jackson Hole, Mammoth and around Europe (Austria and Germany). I would love to hook up with a local rider to jump off some cliffs with and share our experience.
I'm also always open to share what I've learned about Aquaponics and gardening with anyone who is willing to listen. Willie
