ABOUT ME

I'm an optimistic, outgoing and sociable kind of person, quite active, I enjoy swimming, hiking and exploring new places. I'm open and honest, and although I like talking to people, I also enjoy spending time alone and just being quiet.
I love nature and the sea. I've travelled around the world in SE Asia, Australasia Fiji and North America, and relocated to Australia last year.
I'm not very acquisitive, valuing people and animals more than possessions, although I do like living in aesthetically harmonious surroundings!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have three house rules:
1.Buy your own food and drink, don't expect us to cook for you.
2.Help out with chores for a couple of hours a day during your stay.
3.Send a thankyou note.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met the most wonderful people through couch-surfing and made life-long friends all around the world. It's almost a full-time job keeping in touch with everyone, including friends and family back home in the UK.

Books: The Poisonwood Bible, anything by Margaret Atwood esp The Blind Assassin, sci fi, esp Sherri Tepper, Jane Austen, popular science eg Steven Pinker and SJ Gould.
Music: Puccini, Shostakovich, Schubert, Mozart, Coldplay, Massive Attack, Portishead, Manu Chao, Mariza, Dylan, Cohen, Sinatra, i could go on all day...
