Hello, I am chida. I come from the beautiful coastal region of Konkan in India. I studied in Pune and used to do lots of treks to our historical forts. I have always liked to see a place through the eyes of history and stories. That is why I love traveling. I have travelled to many cities and states of India to get to know my own country, but still, there is a lot to see. I never thought I would come to Europe for my studies because it has always been one of my dream places to visit. Currently, I am doing masters in sustainable urban design at the University of Stuttgart. I want to grab all the possible opportunities I can to travel across Europe, to explore the cities, get to know them beyond their global identity and to learn their history and their character. Also, coming to Europe is definitely changing me as I never ever cooked in my life and now suddenly I have developed a knack for it. I always enjoy hosting people and now I am happy that I can cook good Indian food for them. :) I also love music and play an Indian instrument, Tabla. Just get a guitar, I can sing and we have a party! Always looking forward to having a cheerful time! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always love to meet new people and make new friends, hear their stories and understand their culture to learn from them. And what better way there could be for that than traveling and making new acquaintances. I also love to host people and share my experiences with them. It is great that Couchsurfing is bringing people together making the traveling experience much richer! :)

It is very hard to get specifics for songs and movies. I just love the whole spectrum :D from rock to pop to instrumental to Indian classical and what not. Same with Movies and TV series. But if I have to list then Queen, Linkin Park, Indian classical music,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding in Himachal Pradesh, India!!!!!! It was THE experience for me. The feeling when jumping off the mountain is just indescribable! It always has been my dream to do a skydive. I consider this as the first step :p. Next goal, Skydiving! :D
