About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Slowly but surely complete my all time top 100 things to do in life before I die

ABOUT ME

I am 27, working as a Doctor in Australia. I'm quite possibly the only asian-canadian-australian doctor with dreadlocks that you will ever meet. I love to travel, love to eat, and love this idea of spreading the travel vibe. I've had a bunch of stragglers stay with me at my place over the years but this is the first time I've signed up for something so organized. It's awesome.

PHILOSOPHY

As Arnold Schwarzenegger put it one time:

"Do it!! Do it now!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just moved to Melbourne and my flat is too small to host right now, but if you ever want to grab a beer or a drink or something, totally game. I've hosted quite a few in Sydney.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Russia was by far the best experience. Stayed with Dan, who was the coolest Texan in Russia, in one of Stalin's old buildings modelled after NYC art deco buildings.

Interests

Movies, TV, food. I am a pop culture fiend. I learned to Hang Glide a while ago but still am not very good at it. I recently went gliding and had to use my intructor's hat as a sick bag.

Music, Movies, and Books

Chuck Pahlaniuk, Stephen King, Irvine Welsh, graphic novels. I am listening to a lot of The Shins, and Air lately. Vampire Weekend! Datarock, MC Embee.. I occasionally listen to hip-hop as well, as long as it's not Australian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I dug up a skeleton underneath a bridge in Western Sydney which was really cool and kinda freaky at the same time.
I hitchhiked in Cuba before learning Spanish which was my first eyeopening experience of the world.
Hospital is this surreal, weird and wacky place, and you see amazing stuff all the time!

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Cuba, Greece, Laos, Mongolia, Russian Federation, Thailand, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Canada
