About Me

I love stories and story-tellers. Maybe that's why I decided to become a writer. What's better than sharing your stories over delicious home-cooked food and icy cold beers?

The idea that across the world there are people you haven't met, that may share your ideals, know what you mean, or have a totally new perspective of life is completely brilliant and exciting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think of myself as an extroverted introvert.

Traveling solo "forced" me to talk to strangers and made me start to overcome my intimidation of worldlier folk.

Airbnb made me realise the wonders of opening up to people when they open up their homes to you.

CS is chockful of open-minded, interesting people who WANT to meet strangers and share the best bits of their city with you. No brainer.

Interests

I can't get enough of monsters, real or imagined. Cryptozoology - why did that become a thing? I don't know but I like it.

I like making things, especially something that wasn't there before except in your mind. There's something weird and cool about making something alive with nothing but your ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2015, I decided to tack on a 2 months Eurotrip after Fashion Week in London to hang with my friend and see parts of Europe I'd never been. The half-planned, half-winged trip took me to Stockholm (where I stayed in a cave-like hostel and then a with stranger-turned-friend and his pet python), Dusseldorf, Toulouse, then further south of France in Agde (no metro so I walked everywhere! but loveliest seaside town I've ever seen) and back to Berlin. Hoping to see more of Europe soon.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everything about the Asian culture and the very weird things we eat.

I love languages and will be more than happy to teach you Mandarin and/or Cantonese. And teach me any language you want - I'm happy to learn it all!

We all learn something, whether we plan to or not
