Overview
About Me
27 year old artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY, by way of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am currently collecting source material for an upcoming painting exhibition slated for this November, in New York City. Without going into too much superfluous detail, much of my work engages subcultures existing in the periphery of rural and suburban America. In short, I'm basically driving around the states spending too much time at roadside tchotchke stands, late night diners, and corroded dive bars. I want to better understand the communities I visit through the lens of those who live there.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music genres: Garage Rock, Lo-Fi rock, Punk, Heavy Metal, Blues, Blue Grass, Jazz, Funk, and even some Outlaw Country (talking Waylon and the boys; not any of that new "truck/dog/muddin'" stuff [no offense, if that's your bag])
Favorite Movie: Apocalypse Now
Currently Reading: White Noise, by Don DeLillo, with a little Air Guitar, by Dave Hickey, on the side.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a decent cook--capable of making a mean burger. I am tidy, respectful of other's personal space, and quiet when needed. Most of my income comes from freelance carpentry, and assisting on film and theatre sets. Consequently, I am a competent handy-person.
