About Me

ABOUT ME

Cooking is one of my biggest hobbies, and I'm obsessed with food; just eating good food makes me happy and forget all my problems ;) .
I use to host a lot a couple of years ago, pre-pandemic, it had been one of the best time in my life so far, I met wonderful friends, learned and shared with them. Ever since the pandemic began, I've been so busy with my work and my study, and couldn't host anymore. And I realised how much I miss the Couchsurfing things. That's why I decided to back to active again. Although I may not be able to spend as much time with my guests as I did before, but I hope we'll still have good time together. You're all always be welcomed to my house.

JUST SOMETHING TO KNOW if you want to stay with me:
- Please send me a request instead of just a message if you wanna stay with me. The "send request" button's there for a reason. It's both for your safety and mine.
If you send a message instead of a request, I'll decline without an explanation.
- As I have recently moved, my new apartment is located in a new area, which is close to the ministry of Police, about 15 minutes driving to My Dinh bus station and 20' to the West lake area. It's quite far from the Old Quarter (10km), may cost 35,000-50,000 vnd going to the center by a grab bike and 100,000-150,000 vnd by a taxi. Other option is taking bus number 14, which goes directly to the Old Quarter.
- To travel between my place and the airport, you can take bus No.07 or 17, 109, it's pretty convenient
- DON’T EVER CONSIDER REQUESTING TO STAY AT MY PLACE IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY APARTMENT’S LOCATION. I’m just so sick of people confirmed their stay and then canceled it the last minute because they thought it is “too far”from the center. I did warn you about it up there 👆
- I prefer to host on weekends.
- Please let me know in specific, like, when are you arriving and leaving my place, how many days would you like to stay. So that I can arrange my schedule.
- I leave for work quite early in the morning (around 7am), you will probably have to leave the same time with me, as a card is required to access the elevators. Updated: My brother has moved in, and he'll leave for work around 8:30am, so it'll be more flexible, you can leave the house with me or him.
- I often cook dinner, almost every day, and you're always welcome to join with us. (If you follow any diets, please tell me in advance)
- If I'm not too busy, I could go out with you after work, try local food, have some drinks and nice chat and show you a little bit of Hanoi.
- I can give you info and address of my favourite places in Hanoi and Danang as well, like where to eat, where to go.

I don't like copy-paste requests, so to prove that you've actually read throughout my profile, just call me "Chipau" in your message. 😉

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is when I was 10, on my way to my friend's house, crossing a small hill. Suddenly, I realized that I was being chased by a big, angry dog. It freaked me out. I tried to run as fast as I could to escape. It was a miracle that finally, I got rid of him without harm. :))

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook Vietnamese food, especially famous ones, such as pho, bun cha, bun rieu, etc.

One of the reasons I joined Couchsurfing is the great opportunity of practicing languages. I'm learning Italian and French. That's why I appreciate to have the chance to learn and practice those languages.

I can share my tips to eat like a Hanoian, with the lists of best food and places in town.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a hearty Vietnamese meal for you, sharing with you my passion of life, my experience on Couchsurfing and teach you how to cook Vietnamese food.
