Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

when I can.. travel a lot and CS is a good way to know the local area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Too many to mention -but one in particular was an elderly grandmother type in New Zealand (before the web based couch surfing) who picked me up hitch hiking, took me 400 Km, cooked me a dinner of fresh scallops, gave me a loft bed in a handmade stone house, made me breakfast and took me back to the road. THEN, she wrote a letter to my mother in the US telling her I was "a nice boy" and safe.. doesn't get much better than that...
