About Me

First, I don't have any references because this is the first time I've registered...hope to have some, soon.

I'm a semi-retired Chiropractor, spending my time between Charleston, New York City and Thailand. I'm in a long-distance relationship with a beautiful cello player in NYC, but my parents are in ill-health and I need to be in Charleston quite a bit. I work in Thailand in Nov., Dec., and Jan. at a health spa/resort.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I rent out my condo in Charleston through Airbnb, and sometimes when I'm visiting my Mom and Dad my condo is rented and I need a place to stay. Likewise, my girlfriend rents out her studio apt. on West 70th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam, when she goes on the road to perform, and sometimes I've scheduled a trip to NYC when her place is rented, and need a place to stay.

I accept couchsurfers at my condo in Charleston if I'm in the condo; it has a nice spare room with its own bathroom.

I'm also on couchsurfing because I love meeting interesting people who are traveling...it's always fun learning about others' life experiences, which seems to happen more easily when you're traveling.

Interests

I was a full-time Chiropractor for 23 years, so I'm really good at it, and I miss seeing patients, so I love to work on people...chiropractic, massage, etc. Whenever I travel I try to find people who need my services...it's a fun way to connect, and often the people are amazed at the difference some expert bodywork can make.

I surf, do yoga, and a lot of meditation. I have two sons at College, and love to couchsurf on their couches, as I miss them very much.

I love Thailand and the work I get to do there (I love traveling in general).

Music, Movies, and Books

Well, I'm old school...Bruce Springsteen, ZZ top, Terminator and non-fiction books, but don't hold that against me!

I'm a pretty spiritual guy and a very talented bodyworker, and I love sharing these attributes with others.
