About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Honor God and enjoy creation by having fun

ABOUT ME

I love adventure and thrills. I strive to stay healthy in spirit, mind and body. I try to honor others and God while enjoying life.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to honor my Creator. I also have always tried to do good for others and the earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I joined and contributed. I haven't been active in CSing for the last few years but I'll give it another go since I'm finally getting divorced from my ex who rejected CSing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done heaps of backpacking and I'm hoping couchsurfing will be even better. In October 2007 I couchsurfed for 3 days in Adelaide and it was great. We've hosted a few times with good outcomes. In June 2009, Oliver and I experienced fantastic couchsurfing on Maui for 3 then 5 days. A month later we couchsurfed on Oahu for 5 days. It was great. All of my hosts were unreal.

Interests

SCUBA, white water rafting, dancing without inhibitions, playing basketball, tennis, soccer and football. Also reading non-fiction stuff that challenges the brainless traditions of society, a good chat or exciting movie. While I take life seriously, I often don't take myself too seriously. Lately, I've dropped MySpace and now I only use Facebook: www.facebook.com/chiroman.

Music, Movies, and Books

My fav book is the Bible (actually it is 66 books/letters). My fav music is from the 70's: Stones, Zepplin, Aerosmith, Hendrix, Tull, etc. but of the modern artists my fav is GaGa - And I'm seeing her on 24/6/12 :) -- ATM I have an extra ticket! I love to dance and I'm enjoying the modern techno music....
Fav movie is Avatar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2003 my wife and I backpacked with our 4 kids for 2 months in Thailand and another 2 months in Indonesia plus 8 days in Loas. It was an amazing time. While in the US our most amazing holiday was on the Florida Keys. The most amazing place I've visited in the US was Yellowstone National Park. While couchsurfing on Maui, I got to scuba dive with my son close to sharks in a swim thru in serious swells - thrilling memory. And it was Oliver's first dive as a certified diver. Life is so good!

Teach, Learn, Share

WOW! If you could actually have a time machine and go back in time to anytime and anyplace, where would that be? Wouldn't most of us choose the garden of eden as that was truly the paradise we all seek. Finally, in 2008 I found it! (Well, nearly) It is at ConFest! I had the best time and the people there (about 4000) were absolutely incredible. For the most amazing experience, have an open mind (of course never be gullible) and go there.
