About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Whether im in, on, or under the ocean, I couldn't be more happy.

ABOUT ME

Born and bred in South Africa :) I only speak 2 of our 11 official languages. Even though I travel around a lot, South Africa will always be my happy place.

From April 2017 my husband and I will be jobless and travelling the world for as long as we can! First stop, South America for 3 months! We will also then not be able to host anyone any time soon again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It was through couch surfing that i met Cindy and Jarred Kozak, a fun and entertaining couple that I contacted when i moved to Seattle for work in 2015. We got along so well, I moved in with them and rented their spare room. In the time that i lived with them, I also met several other couch surfers passing through town which was great. Couch surfing has just become more exciting for me each day.

Interests

My fiance and I are quite adventurous, so would never say no to any outdoor activities like scuba diving, cycling, hiking, fishing and swimming to mention a few. We like to get out of the city when we can.

I'm also a passionate photographer and enjoy documenting my journeys and sharing it with new found friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy watching movies with a good story line or any movies that are timeless (Gladiator, cast away, inception, lord of the rings etc). To name a few of my favorite bands, I would definitely say The National, Alt J, Mumford and Sons, Apparat, and Radio head. I dont read as frequently as I would like to, but have enough reading experience to know that books are always better than the movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've scuba dived on the Thistlegorm, an underwater museum of military history in the Red Sea.

I won a 5 day trip to Hawaii with a $5 raffle ticket.

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I can share when I am hosting: If im not working I can take you camping and hiking if you interested. I like to get out of the city on the weekends. Or we can just drink wine, tell stories and laugh and make amazing food.
