Overview
About Me
I went to China for a two-week trip...and it turned out a 14 years stay!
I'm a quiet person but I enjoy being around people, I just need to meet the right ones :-)
I like conversations with other travelers, I chat about everything, well, except for team sports (soccer...yawn).
I like cooking and food, if it's about learning a new receipt or exploring culinary delicacies on the road, I'm always in!
I like swimming, going to the beach, biking, and body-weight workout.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe the best way to learn and get a deeper experience about a place is with the help of locals (or 'half locals', i.e. expats),
It might sound trite, but when someone opens his door to travelers he makes the world a better place.

Too many for a lifetime, I guess that's the reason I never get anything done :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: pretty much any kind, except for animation movies.
Music: Rock mostly but also electronic, house, R&B, lounge, chillout and the occasional cheesy pop hit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving...no I'm joking, I fear heights.
I believe you don't need adrenaline filled activities to experience the beauty of life. A sunset in the right place can be just as amazing as jumping off a cliff.
Some of the amazing things:
Got stuck on a dirt road in Baja California desert with a rented wreck. After a gnarly sweating hour, a clanging truck popped out in the horizon, it was an american eremite living in the wild who dumbly hooked my car and took me out of trouble, eventually driving away in the open space. Not a single word was uttered.
Surfing in San Diego in the middle of an unexpected fog bank. The weird thing was the sun still shining over the screen of mist making the atmosphere unreal, while dark waves appeared from the dense white. I couldn't see my fellow surfers but I could hear them screaming in excitement somewhere around me. After 10 minutes the fog disappeared. Maaagic.
My honeymoon on the road, coast to coast from L.A. to N.Y., a dense month of experiences through deserts, mountains, canyons, cactus, small towns, big cities, motels, coyotes, critters, diners, naked men in San Francisco, zombies in L.A., sleeping in the middle of nowhere in the car, police stops and even a crazy night in a Vegas strip club! Unforgettable.
Hiking in the jungles of Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Laos, sometime missing the right path!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach you Italian bad words, learn yours, share the fun.
I can teach you how to make a real Bolognese sauce or Singapore fried vermicelli.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My time.
Time and health are two of the most precious and taken for granted things of life, because both are scarce and limited.
