About Me

Though I grew up in France, I moved to the US after high school to study sociology at the University of Maryland there, right outside of Washington DC. I'm 21 years old, and have both the french and american nationalities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I traveled my whole life with my family, and have come to love the more simplistic and personal ways of traveling to cities and meeting the locals instead of staying isolated in hotels. Now that I'm old enough to travel with friends, that I have the time and the bit of money I need, I aspire to meet people from all over the world everywhere I go. I cherish relationships I made with people in the past, and love staying in contact. In the future, I hope to be able to host a lot more CS, though at the moment, dorm life makes that pretty hard.

Interests

I was a gymnast for 12 years before I started boxing in high school. Back then, I was also in a band, as lead singer. I'm a prose writer, but i love good old poetry from the heart. Most of all, I love sharing art with people and getting to experience their own art too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I work at a crisis hotline on my campus, and we help people with their thoughts, isolation or really, whatever they need to talk about. The only amazing thing I can think of relates to that. A few months back, one of the first real calls I took was a suicide call. We must've talked for two hours, but eventually I talked the guy out from ending his life. And while that's what I'd been trained to do, it feels a whole lot different to feel like you've actually just impacted and changed someone's life. And that's kind of my life's purpose, helping others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share art and a lot of very deep and intellectual conversations. Some travel experiences, and good advice. Maybe a few good jokes. And really, anything I have to share is yours.

Countries I’ve Visited
