About Me

I am a 23 year old student from Montreal, Canada, in the midst of my Master's degree. As you can tell from the list of countries I've visited I am a passionate traveler, looking for every opportunity to visit a new place and learn about its distinct culture!

Also as I'm new to couchsurfing I don't have any reviews as of late, but at least I can post positive reviews from airbnb!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Many reasons, first the most obvious: traveling aint cheap. My other reasons are more relevant: although hostels can produce very cool environments, I sometimes found them just a tad geared towards a party environment. Really nothing wrong with that! However I prefer to spend my days doing activities and getting a good night's rest. (I realize how lame I'm beginning to sound...). Furthermore, since the hostels are full of international people (usually a lot of fellow Canadians) I think couch surfing would offer my experience the extra edge of being introduced into the cultural environment and getting to know locals one on one. I did Airbnb, but most often there was a divide and not all hosts want to interact with their guests.

Interests

When traveling my favourite thing to do is to walk through a city, in French the expression is "flâner" or "walking without a purpose."

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Pulp Fiction, nothing else compares

Books: Poisonwood Bible

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in the Israeli Negev desert under a constellation of stars. Even I who habitually hates camping was overwhelmed by that experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can always teach my hosts French, as it is my first language.

I also love to cook for others, my specialties are (if I can find the ingredients that is), Pad Thai made from scratch, Dahl soup, and shrimp wontons!

Countries I’ve Visited
