We, Chloé and Laura, are two French childhood friends, 22 years old students, travelling through Ireland for two weeks by hitching and couchsurfing. We’ve known each other for 16 years so we are like twins. Be both share the same passions: we always loved animals, nature and travels. We used to horseback ride together and we are now volunteers in a rescue home for cats and dogs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We chose to use CouchSurfing for this travel not only because we are students, meaning we are broke, but also because we think this is the best way to discover the culture of a country and meet people. Moreover, Ireland is known for having the warmest and friendliest people in Europe, so we thought it would be the best place to hitch and to sleep at the inhabitant, instead of taking trains and sleeping at hotels.

Music, Movies, and Books

We are two very open-minded girls in every dimension of our lives, meaning we also like to listen to all sort of music and watch all sort of movie. We both like books which mix fiction with scientific and historical facts, such as Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code or James Rollins’ Sigma Force novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Our entire friendship is an amazing adventure. We’ve never let go of each other, we know each other by heart and we spent the best moments of our lives together. Despite this, we keep having new challenges together. For example, this summer is our first holiday by ourselves both. We couldn’t wait to be here and we have no doubt that this will be the most extraordinary adventure we would have ever lived together.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach things to our host(s), just like French culture, language and cooking. We also would be very happy to share a drink, hiking with you and of course, learning about your own culture!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sadly we can’t stay in Ireland more than 2 weeks, so our visit will be very short, but it won’t prevent us from sharing good moments with all the people we’ll meet!
