I'm a Californian queer through and through, originally from LA and in San Francisco for my MA. I'm involved in advocacy for queer and trans folks and study sexuality studies. I'm also a travel lover who (in covid-safe times) travels from city to city looking for the best views and vegan food and coffee. I'm relatively laid back and love nature, reading, cooking, and learning and talking about gender and sexuality!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is all over the place from folk to French pop to soul to k-pop. Some of my favorite artists are Passenger, Allison Russel, and the Marías, but they shift all the time. Always want music recommendations!

One of my favorite books of all time - In The Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado. I also love Russian literature (Anna Karenina, The Idiot) and nonfiction about gender, sexuality, and the social sciences.

As for TV, I love Legendary, Dragula, The Great British Baking Show, Downton Abbey, Schitt's Creek, and most recently, shitty reality TV. Some of my favorite films - Atlantique, Tangerine, Incendies, Call Me Madam, Some Like It Hot, Always Be My Maybe, Palm Springs. I love romance, comedy, and can't do horror :/ wish I could!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Europe to study abroad in France - and then traveled all through Western Europe alone, making lots of Couchsurfing friends along the way. One of my favorite moment from that trip was spending New Years in the Bavarian forest at an environmental commune, watching fireworks and fire juggling all night.
