About Me

Hey!

I'm just a human wandering through this life trying to love and connect with as a many people as possible.
I am a painter, art student, lover of the written word, enthralled with the beauty of nature, arts appreciator, baker, etc.... Really the list could go on. I am an open-minded, pretty relaxed individual looking to make friends around the world and expand my horizons. I love music, having philosophical conversations, and enjoying the simple pleasures in life like having lovely people around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had quite a few friends use couchsurfing as a means to staying inexpensively with locals while traveling and they loved it! They loved most people they met and in connected them with the country they were staying in, in a whole new way. I am looking to travel Europe, primarily out of Norway, over the next 12 months so here I am!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a lot of different types of music, it really depends on my mood. I am favoring SZA and a lot of classical music lately. Shoegaze and hip-hop are close seconds.
As far as movies, I love documentaries, probably because I really enjoy learning about a wide variety of things. I also really enjoy independent and foreign films. Of course, who doesn't love a good laugh too.
I am reading "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" by James Joyce right now, it is fantastic. He is such an interesting writer. I read lots of old books I find in small book shops or at thrift stores.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to a new city when I was 17 by myself. I think that is pretty crazy. I mean there are a lot of amazing things I suppose, but right now that sticks out to me. From the small town to the big city across the country.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything I know I am will to teach. I am always opening to learning and sharing.
I am a good cook, I work in a bakery as my profession at the moment.
Learning about people is one of my favourite past times, so much so that I thought about being a therapist! However, I want to know people deeply. Meaningful connection is important to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my enthusiasm for life, my sense of humour - although I am not sure how Canadian it is. I enjoy making people laugh, it puts everyone at ease.
I am not sure what else I can share? Anything I suppose!
