ABOUT ME

I have been on couchsurfing for years, and used it to meet many incredible people throughout my travels. I am from the US but spend most of my time out of it whether it is for work or for fun and typically love exploring new and different cultures. I am an ocean lover and usually want to be doing anything that involves being in, on, or under the water. One of my biggest current goals is to be fluent in Spanish and I am slowly on my way there. Currently travel intermittently for work and while I am remote I hope to base myself in new and different places, and would love to meet you along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's important to meet locals when travelling. I have been hosted by so many wonderful families in the past who have given me a local taste of the place they live. I hope someday to be able to return the favor and do the same when I am in one steady place.

Interests

Huge dog person. Live for the water. Love scuba diving and most outdoor or adrenaline sports, from hiking to skiing to sailing to surfing to many others, and am always interested in trying something new. Trying hard to be truly proficient in Spanish so I'd love to speak with you only in Spanish. Love cooking and trying new foods. Very interested in health, fitness and nutrition. Love a good workout. Often active and moving about but also absolutely love a relaxed day with a book. Love laughing until everything hurts. Life is better barefoot and life is better under water!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a massively long list of books I want to read which I am very slowly ticking off and includes a wild range of favorites. I also love running while listening to podcasts and enjoy The Daily, Serial, the Ted Radio Hour, Invisibilia, and a few others. I am not great with movies and often get harassed for never having seen Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or the Matrix. My music taste ranges from classic rock to classical, and I have a soft spot for Billy Joel. I love love love live music.
