About Me

My current mission is to make every day an adventure. Whether I take a new bike trail to work, use a different font in an email, or turn my kitchen into a dance floor, I strive to be as creative as possible.

I love to ride the roller coaster in West Edmonton Mall, throw the frisbee around in one of Edmonton's many parks, and mountain bike through North America's largest urban parkland: The North Saskatchewan River Valley.

I studied Kinesiology in University but I'm a firm believer that the bulk of my education and auh-maz-ingness has come from getting lost and finding myself on my adventures at home and abroad.

For fun and some pocket cash, I work as a Segway Tour Guide in the River Valley but my passion is reproductive health. I am a Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner and I help women chart their menstrual cycles and naturally balance hormones for improved health, pregnancy planning, and natural birth control.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe that happiness is shared. Most of my experiences with couch surfing have been as a surfer and I usually travel on my own. Couchsurfing has given me the opportunity to explore new places, experience a new culture, and share it all with someone local. Love it! When I'm at home, I love to do the same for others. One of my dreams is to have a host I've had abroad come visit me in my country so I can return the incredible hospitality I've received. Until then, I'm happy to host you! :)

Interests

Dancing. Playing the piano, the guitar, & the kazoo. Learning new languages. Learning new things. Snowboarding. Visiting Museums & Parks. Mountain biking. Rock climbing. Reading. Listening. Volunteering. Exploring. Flailing. Observing but not absorbing. Acknowledging but not associating.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music that I can dance to, movies that are through-provoking, and books that take me to new places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Took on a sholphin (a shark that turned out to be a dolphin) in San Diego
- Getting lost and finding myself again in a jungle in Pai, Thailand
- Swimming in Halong Bay, Vietnam (Beware Cruise Ships!)
- Teaching salsa in Cali, Colombia

Teach, Learn, Share

I can save your life - or just teach you CPR. :) I can show you around the salsa scene in Edmonton or take you SWING DANCING! Ever want to learn how to play the first part of Fur Elise on the piano? I can show you that. I can give you a peek at Tribal Fusion Belly Dancing or help you crotchet your own scarf if you plan on surviving in Canada through the winter! As a Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner, I am passionate about body literacy and fertility awareness and my tribe of women all over the world! So ask me about charting and I'm more than happy to compare menstrual cycles! :).... Or just come to swap books and stories!

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Mexico, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam, Virgin Islands, U.S.
