ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly young (although getting older as I speak) multicultural woman. I love to travel and discover new places, new people.
Lately I settled myself down in Guadeloupe, thanks to a job I found. I work towards a better world, cleaner planet with sustainable resources. Yes still a lot to do I know ;)

I went to an European school, very open minded school, and after that studied biology. I studied in several cities in Belgium and did an Erasmus exchange in Toulouse. After finishing my studies I took a sabbatical year, worked half of it and spend the other half traveling and eco-volunteering in South & Central America.
Did some more eco-volunteering the years after that and ended up finally finding a job.. in Guadeloupe!
Today I've just created my own little business: ECO Caraïbes, working on environmental events and communication plus organization that goes with that.

Besides work, in the weekends, I love to go to the beach or the river and piknik with friends. I like to go out for drinks aswell and dance.

PHILOSOPHY

I think my philosophy can be found in some little sentences other wrote..

"Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow". I always try to see the bright side of things.

"Le cauchemar ce serait de ne plus rêver" means: bad dreams would be to stop dreaming. As I am a dreamer (day and night) I think this corresponds fairly well..

"L'enfer c'est les autres (JP Sartre)" I'm attached to this one, which seems quiet negative but actually isn't. It just means sometimes it is tough to love other people that much and that it is the fact of loving that sometimes makes you weak or suffer.

The next ones relates more to my ecologist hart:

"Quer continuar a respirar? Comece a preservar!" wich means if you want to continue breathing, start preserving the planet.

"C'est triste de songer que la nature parle mais que le genre humain n'écoute pas (V.Hugo)". This one says it is sad that nature's speaks but that human kind doesn't listen..

兴趣

When I've got some free time, I love to dance, have a drink on the beach with friends, swim, photograph, draw, or just sit down and look at the sea waves or a beautiful view from the top of a mountain. I also like to go for a walk in Guadeloupe's (or elsewhere) beautiful nature, but must admit I often don't take the time to do so..
One of my oldest passions is horseriding. Planning to start again someday in the future.

Music: a lot of different styles, going from The police, The cure, REM, Chris Rea, Dire Straits, etc etc.. to Latin music (salsa, batchata, tango,..)or lounge music or african music or soul or blues. I also like some french artists as ZAZ or Francis Cabrel. I think a lot of different styles of music have some very good artists.

Movies: (here as well very varied)
- The Green Line, American History X, Lovely bones, Avatar, Match Point, Salt, ... some others I can't seem to remember
- Dance Movies: Dirty Dancing :) , Grease, Salsa, Danse with me, Stricly Balroom, ...
I also like cartoons as: Ratatouille, Despicable me, Madagascar, Cinderella, ...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Slept (tried to..) next to a wild elephant that was eating branches...
Went to Tibet..
Followed wild horses in Mongolia..
Waited for otters in Brasil..
Lived on a beach to protect turtles..
Chased little lizards trough coffee plants for science..
Jumped of a plane in Australia!!
Captured so many beautiful moments trough traveling.. wonder why I settled down ;)
