My name is Chloe. I'm 25 and I live in New York City where I work for a technology company. I'm very social and love spending time meeting new people, writing, creating, reading, exploring, sharing drinks and meals, and of course - traveling!

I've traveled to over 40 countries and love using couchsurfing as much as possible. Meeting locals and fellow travelers to understand new cultures from different perspectives is my favorite thing about traveling. :-)

I studied Spanish, Latin, and Central American literature in college - El Tiempo Principia en Xibalba by Luis de Leon is one of my favorite books.

One of my favorite literature awards is the Man Booker Prize - any of those are great.

Movies: I recently watched Fargo and Miller's Crossing, and loved them both... Frances Ha is also good!

I love all music, especially live, but most recently I've been listening to a lot of international hip-hop and rap, and some techno and house. I love classical music as well, and have a soft spot for musicians from my home state in the US, like John Coltrane, Nina Simone, The Avett Brothers, etc!

Trekking and camping over a 5000m pass in rural Tajikistan was pretty memorable for me.

That, and backpacking from Turkey to China by myself for over 6 months was all good.
