About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet the global community! Australia can seem quite far away so I want to take advantage of having the world on my doorstep for a change :)I'm also on a mission to eat less meat and be a better human for our planet.. Reduce, reuse, recycle!

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME:
I'm a dynamic and fun-loving but also quiet and respectful music/art/culture-lover looking to make some global connections to share a little piece of my time and life with.

I quit my job/stuff/everything in July this year with the view to travel around for the next couple of years. Something I've always wanted to do but just hadn't got around to!

I like to laugh and not take life TOO seriously but I also feel pretty deeply about the state of our world. I'm a bit of an unapologetic peace-lover!

Firstly, please note that I am not comfortable sharing a bed with my hosts and, as I'm travelling alone, I prefer to stay with hosts that have a good amount of photos and a few positive references already.

PHILOSOPHY

I try and live a life that is positive for myself and others. I like to have fun and I'll try almost anything once!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sometimes I can be quiet - I like to just sit back, observe, conserve, soak it all up! Sometimes I like to engage, connect, converse, get excited, be spontaneous and wear glitter! It really depends on my mood - but I definitely need some me-time to recharge the batteries..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed 4 places so far - 3 have been great, 1 not so much! But that's ok - I'm learning as I go.

Interests

Music (all kinds, really!), having a good boogie, experiencing history and culture, art (what is that, anyway?!), reading, good coffee, trying local wines, cocktails (is that an interest??), making new friends, good food, good conversation, quiet times, exploring (with company or alone), adventures..

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now, I'm reading 'The Algebra of Infinite Justice' which is a series of short essays (can you even call them just that?) by Arundhati Roy. Beautiful. Also 'Sex, Time and Power' by Leonard Shain. Interesting stuff!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing a pair of wild rhino on an elephant trek in Nepal.. Our world really is a wonderful place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer simple, uncomplicated company. I enjoy cooking good, simple meals which we can share or you can take to work. I also like to experiment with vegan and/or raw cakes and treats occasionally!

I enjoy sharing the odd bottle of wine here and there and although I'm not a huge drinker, I can also make a good margarita!!

If you have any musical instrument handy, I'm always up for some kind of jam session too!

I don't expect you to show me around at all however if it's what you like to do, then please be my guest! Otherwise, I'm happy with just some local tips and suggestions!
