ABOUT ME

I'm an Austrian, highly motivated and curious female student. I've been living in China for about 15 month .... trying to study Chinese and am now living in London/Shanghai (Shanghai only until 28th of May).
I'm pretty easy going and open to almost everything.

During my time in London, I've been introduced to the magical world of the video games industry and now am a passionate member (I am working for SEGA).

PHILOSOPHY

Observe, enjoy and share. Stay flexible and open ... to not ruin an actually amazing experience through unnecessary expectations. Be amazing and humble about it ... and practice sarcasm in every daily situation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

once in Hong Kong. Host was really nice, the couch comfortable, and the view from the balcony ... beautiful! ! !

several times in London ... met really nice people and my current landlord!

Unfortunately, I was never really able to host, due to lack of space and a crazy schedule. However, as soon as I can ... I most certainly will return the favour to the people of the world!

I m an movie addict, so I do enjoy quite a lot of movies.

Jeff Buckley, Bensh, Broken Social Scene, Natural Milk Hotel, Cornelius, Mumford and Sons, Bo Burnham, ...

Plays of George Bernard Shaw, Hitch-hikes guide, Asimovs Books, chinese Classics like Dream of the red Chamber, or the Three Kingdoms, more modern stuff like Ah Q. Wang Shuos Books in general. I was also highly entertained by the Book of great unity from Kang Youwei and its idea about the perfect world language.
Besides my mild obsession with Chinese Literature, I also enjoy classics like Faust, Leviathan, etc as well.

Uh and I really fancy Fairytales from all around the world. When I was young and good looking I loved to read "The brothers Grim collection", but now my horizon has widened. Viking myths, Japanese fairy tales, Egyptian fairy tales and many more.

I have also recently discovered my interest in Buddhism. For many years now my main focus lied in Chinese Philosophy, ok ... mostly Daoism. But again, with time comes new stuff to read and think about.

My experience and fun personality. Love talking about silly things, just as much as heavy subjects ... like obesity (sorry, I have been introduced to the "pun" culture in London, ... what an enhancement to a generally sarcastic person's mind).
