About Me
CURRENT MISSION
“To see things thousands of miles away, things hidden behind walls and within rooms, things dangerous to come to, to draw closer, to see and be amazed and to feel that is the purpose of life.”
ABOUT ME
I love travelling, but haven't been travelling as much as I would like to! I'm an open-minded person who loves to try new things! After all, life is an adventure!
I also served in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, spending two years of my time helping to protect the skies of Singapore. While this was a grueling period which entailed much self-sacrifice, it was also an experience which shaped me into a more mature and steadfast person.
PHILOSOPHY
"Reach for the stars, but keep your feet on the ground."
"Everything will be alright in the end, if it is not alright, it is not yet the end."
"I believe that love that is true and real creates a respite from death. All cowardice comes from not loving or not loving well, which is the same thing. And when the man who is brave and true looks death squarely in the face like some rhino hunters I know or Belmonte, who is truly brave, it is because they love with sufficient passion to push death out of their minds. Until it returns, as it does to all men. And then you must make really good love again."

Interests
Exercising: I do Judo and other sports such as badminton. I also enjoy long, slow jogs which allow me to clear my mind.
Reading: I like to read non-fiction mainly. one of the most recent interesting book i've read is Dan Ariely's Predictably Irrational.
Remembering things: For a while, i found mnemonics (the study of systems to aid in memory) to be rather enthralling. Having experimented a little, i could recall the first 500 digits of Pi. I'm a little rusty now, but should have no problem telling you the first 100 if you're interested haha (i highly doubt so).

Music, Movies, and Books
I love psychological thrillers like Memento, Inception, and Side Effects.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumped off a plane at 15,000ft;
Climbed Mt Doom from Lord of the Rings on my 21st birthday;
Rafted down a seven metre waterfall;
Hiked up snow-capped mountains in knee-deep snow;
Kayaked on the Pacific Ocean.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really like to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds. This is because they open up my mind to other cultures and their practices which i would never have otherwise knew. I love learning about their customs and quirks and share my own as well (:
I can teach you some Chinese if you're interested! Or perhaps I can teach you some mnemonics, or basically, how to remember a lot of things in a short time! (think being able to recall 500 digits of Pi!).
