About Me

CURRENT MISSION

In the end... only kindness matters.

ABOUT ME

I'm a family man with two beautiful young boys and an amazing wife. I'm easy going, interested, and reflective. I like to smile at strangers and try to set an example of kindness, empathy, and imagination for my sons.

PHILOSOPHY

My current philosophy is simple... What you do every day is who you are.

I have surrendered to consistency and every day I give thanks, keep a gratitude journal, do breathwork, practice mediation, exercise, stretch, read poetry, admire art and learn about artists, asked for guidence, and meaningfully connect with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We host! And, I love to meet surfers and explore cities through CS Meet Ups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Done my fair share of surfing in college and in my 20's. I still enjoy the rare surf now and then, but being a family man has changed my life's direction away from free spirited traveling and adventure... for now! :)

Interests

When I stopped searching for meaning, I found meaning in everything, even the most mundane experiences. I love finding the lessons in every day, whether it's a good or bad day. My daily practice is to be present.

  • meditation
  • traveling
  • music
  • beaches
  • ukulele
  • harmonica
  • smiling
  • breathwork
  • stoicism
  • service
  • making friends around the world

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to get out dancing here and there to house, electronic, or hip hop music, but i'll pogo through an 80's dance party too. The only bad dancer is the person not dancing.
Love music, but I spend more time playing music than finding new music these days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. TerrorDome at Burning Man.
2. Hearing Paul Simon and Bob Dylan play "I Walk the Line" and "The Sounds of Silence" together at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington state.
3. The first time kissing my future wife under the Norther Lights in Alaska.
4. Holding each of my sons for the first times.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a really good listener, I've got a few stories to share, I embrace childlike wonder, and I'm polite, kind, and clean.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Gibraltar, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In
