Overview
About Me
I was born in Seoul, the capital of South Korea and came to South America when I was 12 years old with my family. I consider myself as an immigrant rather than Korean or Brazilian. Sometimes I feel like I am not fully accepted as an insider in both worlds and I don't feel bad about it. That's who I am. I grew to like all the different things and I consider myself as an open minded person. But I don't mean I am into mysteries or supernatural metaphysics. I appreciate and cherish the scientific way of thinking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Even though I am not quietly an outgoing person, the idea of meeting and staying with local people is fascinating.
Interests
I love mainstream culture. I like to check who won the academy award and such. Netflix is my guilty pleasure. I always have some downloaded on my phone when I am traveling. Master of None would be my favorite on that platform. And kurzgesagt.

Music, Movies, and Books
It is always cruel to list favorite music or movies but here is some that come to mind at the moment.
Elliott Smith, The Radio Dept., Wilco, The Smiths, Fiona Apple, Joanna Newsom
Taxi Driver, Blade Runner, Chungking Express
Franz Kafka, J. M. G. Le Clézio, Haruki Murakami
I think that Dorohedoro and Bakuman are the best mangas.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled Brazil, US, and Korea with a cinema production crew to aid one documentary as a translator.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play very basic guitar and ukulele. I taught Korean for non-natives. Actually, with 10 minutes of effort, you can learn the Korean writing system if you are interested.
