About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Super Adventure Time! 1500+ Mile Bike Tour

ABOUT ME

I used to be kind of big, now I'm less big. Every year I bike a little more than the last, and the time is right for a 1500 mile loop involving all states of New England, with notable stops in Cape Cod, Portland, ME, Boston, the White Mountains in New Hampshire, Green Mountains in Vermont, Adirondacks in NY. Can't wait! Best use of a gap year that I can think of.

I'm hoping that CouchSurfing can help me succeed.

PHILOSOPHY

I just try to be as easy going as possible. I'm not in control of what happens to me, but I can decide how I respond. Treat everyone you know - including yourself - with respect, and the rest will follow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very new to it! Have some great friends that were ambassadors for their city, sounds like a great way to meet people and travel!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in New York City and Buffalo with some cool people. No one knows the local area better than someone that's lived there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movie is 2001: A Space Odyssey
Favorite album is Nine Inch Nails: The Fragile
Favorite book is Ray Kurzweil; The Age of Spiritual Machines

But I try to listen to a new album and watch a new movie at least once a week. Mostly read textbooks!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spend a night in the middle of the ocean (preferably on a boat). Look up. This is what inspired mankind for thousands of years. Shame we don't see it any more.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hrm.. try opening bananas from the end that you normally wouldn't. You just need pinch the tip and peel. Other primates do it this way.

Countries I’ve Visited

Greece, South Africa, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
