Overview
About Me
I'm currently doing my Masters in Global Change Ecology and Environmental Law, dealing with environmental, ecological and societal issues of "global change". I would consider myself as an interdisciplinarily thinking person, wandering at the interface between natural and social sciences for many years now and that's also how I like to talk and debate: taking in diverging perspectives and questioning opinions.
I'm a active person and like to spend my time exploring my surrounding, doing outdoor sports, meeting friends and new people and best combine these things. But I'm equally happy to find moments and places to rest, relax and chill, be it with a good book, in a hot sulfur spring or in a shabby pub with a beer in my hand.
I wrote this some years ago but I think it still suits to describe myself: In my opinion, spontaneous "adventures" and events are usually the funniest and best ones. Being open-minded for new things, people and especially food is the key to make your way, wheather on journey or in daily routine;) Yes I love unfamiliar food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I made my first couchsurfing experience travelling through the US with a friend in 2012 and it was nice. It's just a really good way to get in touch with people from the region you're visiting. And when looking for cool places, good food, nice talks and great experiences, there's no better way finding these things than by being a guest on somebodys couch.

Music, Movies, and Books
I was really into movies a couple of years ago when working in a cinema as a technician. I hardly find the time for a movie these days but when I do, I'm into Science-Fiction (old Star Trek fan), historical thrillers, james bond or documentaries.
Music is an important language of our world. I listen to pretty much every genre, though I really enjoy jazz, world music (eg habibi, chicha..), electronic downbeat and funky 90s disco yey, even do some own DJ sets from time to time.
Dürrenmatt and M. Suter wrote some of my all time favourits. I also could read through Shantaram (Gregory Roberts) again and again. Currently and for quite some time now working myself into Darwin and Foucault (Philipp Sarasin). And reading the Tibetian book of living and dying (S. Lakar) gave me a new perception of life. As well did Don Rosa!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The always amazing moment when you are hitchhiking and someone stops to pick you up!
