Two down-to-earth friends backpacking through South America. We met living in a six person sharehouse in Melbourne (where we still live). Looking to meet locals and share our cultures and stories. We are keen to experience the authentic local lifestyle and culture rather than the glossy tourist brochure versions of the places we visit. Friendly, respectful, easy going and always up for a laugh with or without a beer. One of us is a veteran couch surfer the other an enthusiastic newbie.

Somos dos amigas mochileras por Sudamérica. Yo, Irene, soy española y conoci a Christine, Australiana, hace 6 años cuando empezamos a vivir juntas en Melbourne, Australia, donde todavia vivimos con otros 4 amigos.
Queremos hacer un viaje diferente, un viaje donde podamos conocer gente local y compartir culturas y experiencias. Cuando mas disfrutamos de viajar es cuando tenemos la oportunidad de experimentar la vida y cultura local.

I,Chris, I haven't done couchsurfing yet, but Irene did it in India with a friend and made my so jealous about her experiences that I wanted to try it.
