Having finished my A levels at Reigate College I completed a 4 year apprenticeship with Southern Rail in London and found myself with a full time job working for a company with stringent control over my personal life (unsociable hours owing to the shifts in place). I was therefore losing my youth to work! At the age of 25 I have decided to resign from my position in order to see more of the world, meet interesting people and have some great experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about couch surfing at the start of my travels through South America and hope to use it to allow me to meet some cool people and explore places from an alternative perspective to that which tourists experience. I'm also hoping to learn Spanish during my time in South and Central America and feel that spending time with native Spanish speakers can help me to achieve this goal.

Interests

I'm open to trying new things but my hobbies back home include reading, playing sports and listening to music (despite having no discernible musical talent myself)
