About Me

I've recently closed my tree care company in southern Virginia and am touring around on my motorcycle. I don't really have a destination or plan, so much as a goal. Stay warm. So far, so good. I left the right coast in Aug, and have boated, climbed and ridden my way across to California, down into Mexico and now to Hawaii. I AM HAVING SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I'm into climbing, kayaking, downhill, motoX, surfing, kiting, yadda yadda yadda. I like to have fun outside. I've never been much of a drinker or a partier, so I've always spent my money on gear and going places. My current Pandora station is alt J/Chet Faker/Stolen Dance mix. My bike doesn't have a name. I'm the youngest of 2. Beach or Mountains. My life long question. I eat healthy. Love animals. Wake early. Quite. Music. Love my family . Yoga, when i'm on it.....not as much id like. Not rich. Paino (some) Guitar (some more) Saxaphone (gradeschool)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm spending to much money on hotels and hostels in the places I don't know people and places I can't camp. The less I can spend, the longer I can do this.

Music, Movies, and Books

just to be clear......everything means everything.........except that weird old cabin speak style stuff Stu listens to. I don't really listen to heavy stuff.... Everything else has a time a place. Love movies. Old and new. I've wasted injured time and winters doing little else..... I'm currently reading some Tom Clancy. I like spy stuff these days. I went thru a 3 cups of tea. eat pray love, walk in the woods phase not long ago. I like reading educational things. History and Art. I've tried to read theology and spiritual, I just can't find the energy in other peoples writings, though the subjects interest me deeply and are a constant part of my......whatever this is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made it to 30. Pretty sure that was statistically impossible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach comfortably. Technical skill mostly. The vertical world has long been a specialty. Rock climbing, caving, tree climbing, self rescue, assisted rescue, whitewater. Also a certified ASI snowboarding inst. Always happy to help others learn more and be better, safer athletes.
I'm also an Arborist, and carry a deep and growing knowledge as well as a true passion for trees and all the do for the world. That's the little hippie in me. As well as the progressive professional.

I'd very much like to spend time with people that know other languages and are comfortable helping me learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook. I am Always happy to share the joy of good food! If you're into some action sports, I'm a solid partner and apt field photographer.

I'm a capable mechanic and builder, if you have a project.

Farm life has often been life. Horses, cows, chickens, crops....what can I help you with. on that note.....I've never milked a cow. Or a goat. I've never milked anything.
