About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Break out of my shell and enjoy the world, one couch at a time
ABOUT ME
I'm a Florida native with a restless spirit and the constant desire to push myself to achieve more than I thought I could.
I'm easy-going and (hopefully) my friends will attest to this. I've never been satisfied in one place for too long, and I'm constantly looking for opportunities to travel and see the world. Currently London is where I call home, though my heart stays in Mermaid Beach, Australia.
If you're in London and looking for someone to explore the city with, shoot me a message and I would love to meet up!
PHILOSOPHY
Everyone has a story to tell. Be curious.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My friend told me about the fantastic people he's met couchsurfing, and really that's how I started getting involved. I've surfed at a few places and its certainly been an enjoyable experience. Now I want to return the favor and host some more people
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to couchsurfing and have heard great things from a few of my friends. I'm excited to dive into the community and start hosting/surfing my way across the world.
Interests
I'm a nature lover and adventurer. I will try anything that pushes my physical limits, and enjoy hiking, camping, climbing, surfing.
After moving to Canada, I also feel compelled to include ice climbing, skiing, snowboarding and curling (this is by far the most enjoyable game of shuffleboard you will ever play)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I'm interested in all types of music and am always game to hear new things. My current focus is on a lot of indie rock and electronic music, though I expect another whim will soon shift my focus to something new.
Movies
I enjoy a good comedy, especially witty/dry humor (Best in Show anyone?)
Books
The Stranger
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've seen is the Northern Lights while flying into Northern Alberta. Our plane was 35,000 feet up, and I could see the lights moving all around us.
Not sure if it is amazing, but it certainly was challenging -- I reached the summit of my first mountain, Mt. Adams in Oregon. The climb was 22 miles round trip and 9,000 ft from camp to summit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an Engineer by education, and an operations consultant by profession. I enjoy teaching technical/engineering concepts.
For some retro knowledge sharing, I can whip out my old Boy Scout skills and teach some fundamentals in knot-tying, lashing, starting a fire, and building a shelter
I'm always eager to learn new things, and would especially like to learn/practice languages (although I'm painfully self conscious when practicing). I'm brushing up on my Spanish.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, Virgin Islands, U.S.
