I'm Chris from Germany. Since I traveled whole Australia with my backpack for about 2 years, I fell in love with traveling, meeting new interesting people and living in nature. Therefore I like adventures and to learn about other cultures. I am down to almost everything which is related to fun, adventure, nature, culture or interesting people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was raised by my parents who are a little bit prejudice against new things or people. They don't mean it bad. It's just that they couldn't travel and meet new people when they were young and it is also a way for them to protect themselves. Sometimes I still realize how I judge people without knowing them. I want to get over this and become a better person and the best way to do this is simply to meet people from all over the world of different cultures, listen to their stories and learn about their way of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping out of an airplane over wonderful beautiful islands. Would do it again straight away.
Another crazy thing was a breakdown of my car in the middle of the outback (200 km to the next town). I destroyed 2 tires within 30 minutes and only had one spare tire. It was 4 pm on a Sunday afternoon, no phone reception and I was stuck in an area where not many cars come through. But how I (obviously ;-) ) survived I will tell you in person. :-P

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very interested in foreign languages. It's always nice to know some words or even sentences in the others person language because then one is able to listen to the actual voice of a person because we are speaking differently when we use other languages.
I can also make an awesome pasta sauce and perfect pancakes. ;-)
