About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find a flourishing belaytionship

ABOUT ME

I love to climb, play music, share stories, learn, and meeting new people. I'm currently living in Baltimore while conducting Mars research at Johns Hopkins U. I study Physics at Cornell University and climb whenever I'm not there. Used to travel the country in a band, now I travel the country in a van.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and travel authentically. I love to experience new places with the help of a local perspective. It can also save you in a dicey situation.

Interests

I'm interested in people, music, the outdoors, photography, world events, politics (cringe), and woodworking (random).

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

I love all kinds of music from jazz and hardcore; to hip hop and synth stuff.
Some of my current favorite artists include:
Wes Montgomery (all time hero), Marty Robbins, Bob Dylan, Incendiary, Trapped Under Ice, The Doors, Decedents, J Dilla, Nujabes, and Leeway (too many others to name- just trying to be eclectic here)

MOVIES

I like such a wide range of movies it's difficult to narrow it down- but I love all the classics (anything by Kubrick), old sci-fi films, new sci-fi films, bad sci-fi films, WWII movies, documentaries.. etc. Sunday night is Silicon Valley, and Last Week Tonight night.

BOOKS

Lord of the Rings, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Road, Into Thin Air, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Flatland, The Stand, Into The Wild (cliche I know), On The Road (cliche I know), Rendezvous With Rama, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mt. Baker in Washington State without sunscreen (also under the category of One Stupid Thing I've Done)

Teach, Learn, Share

I just love to listen to whatever you might have to say. Stories are the best way to learn about the world and even more so people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences, my company, any help I can provide to give back to my host, and of course a free belay.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
