I'm a middle school teacher, originally from the Midwest but loving wearing shorts in January living in Texas. I love the live music scene here in Austin and enjoy taking advantage of the weather by staying active.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Over the past few years I've become much more interested in the outdoors. I never had much experience camping or hiking growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, but now that I've been exposed to it, I really enjoy getting out and checking out new places. Couchsurfing seemed like a good option for exploring new parks across the country while getting some good tips on places to see from locals. I feel like meeting new people from different parts of the country can only add to the experience.
