Overview
About Me
I am a doctoral student at Northwestern University, studying health-related behaviors. I enjoy running, cycling, gaming, playing music, and comedy. When traveling, I am usually in pursuit of castles, botanical gardens, orchestras, cultural experiences, historical locations, local farm markets, odd cuisine, fun stories, or even practical knowledge. Most important, however, I am looking to make long-term connections with exceptional and quirky people across the globe.
Lastly, in the summer of 2020, I worked as a farmhand in Maine, U.S. If your place is a homestead, I'd be eager to help with any husbandry, gardening, or other tasks that might benefit from an extra set of hands.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am always looking for new experiences, and not always related to travel/sightseeing; CS grants me those new experiences in abundance. I hope that, in return of shelter, I can share stories and knowledge, and help create pleasant memories for my host (and family, if applicable).

Music, Movies, and Books
I am currently sucked into the Game of Thrones book series, which has consumed an extraordinary amount of time (currently on book 4).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing: I watched a massive colony of flying foxes darken the night as they flew across a lit-up hilltop palace in Udaipur, India.
Amazingly Un-amazing: I almost got eaten by a crocodile in Singapore (OK, maybe I'm being a bit dramatic).
Teach, Learn, Share
I like learning about local culture and festivities, as I am a pretty active tourist. It would be great to hear about other's travels, which might give me ideas for my next destination.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cultural exchange, a dessert buddy, and help with chores. I could also play tuba for you, but the odds of me traveling with my tuba are not good. :)
