About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am making my way around Europe for the summer. So excited!

ABOUT ME

I've recently finished my PhD and now waiting for it to be marked. I began my travels in Canada, working at a Ski Resort. Now I am making my way around Europe for the summer; it's amazing so far!!! Hoping to meet as many real local people as possible, and have some authentic experiences with genuine people.

PHILOSOPHY

Post-modernism. Oh, wait, you're not my university professor. Okay, so my philosophy would be ... seek authenticity. Is that a philosophy? I'm up for some experiences that change my perspective on life, and for getting to know real people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hopefully I can meet some people who can come and visit me one day, and stay on my couch! I'm told I'm a very good tour guide :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've mostly only done couchsurfing through friends and friends-of-friends before, but it's time to expand the horizons!

Interests

Snowboarding, Reading (lots!), and of course travelling :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite movie has to be 500 Days of Summer, Favourite book is anything by John Stienbeck. I lost my iPod on a chairlift, so I can't say I'm up to date with the cool kids when it comes to music. Show me your music collection, and I'll let you know what I think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, everyone is most impressed by my impromptu Vegas wedding of a few years back. But the most amazing things I've experienced from my perspective are the days of hiking with friends in backcountry Canda, to ski and snowboard in pristine, untouched snow for miles and miles. There's something amazing about being lost in nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

There's not many people I don't enjoy meeting. But I like to learn peoples' languages and about lives that are different from mine.
