About Me

I am a naturalist and kayak instructor for UCSF's outdoor program. I'm also a sponsored professional disc golfer and coach. As my occupation suggests I enjoy being outdoors, its where I feel most at home. I am an Aries/Taurus cusp, fiery yet grounded. I think I am the type of guest that many hosts would having in their home because I'm educated, enthusiastic, compassionate, empathetic, and self sufficient
I was an Earth Science major at UCSC and graduated in 2010. After graduating I continued following my dream of being a professional disc golfer, worked some odd jobs before getting into outdoor education for 2011-13', took 2014 off to focus more on disc golf and now I'm back into outdoor instruction with UCSF.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I am traveling for disc golf tournaments I would much rather stay with appreciative hosts than pay for an over priced uncomfortable hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reggae, bluegrass, some electronic, a handful of hip hop artists and rappers, I still savor some of the classic rock tunes I was raised on, too.
I have seen a pretty wide array of movies, all kinds of comedies, adventure, action thrillers, animated features, I've seen a good number of classics too...
My favorite books are guide books that help me identify the amazing creatures of California to the fortunate students on my trips!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went sky diving for my 25th birthday.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a wide variety topics. From cooking to wildlife behavior to astronomy and many things in between...
I love learning about pretty much anything and everything, I just like doing new things in general.
Sharing comes easily, it seems to me that everything belongs to everyone so all things are shared.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Perspective, stories, knowledge, experience... I'd be happy to cook, clean, do chores, etc. to help earn my keep. I do my best to be a good guest!
I could also bring my massage table... just sayin!
