ABOUT ME

I love to travel and love Latin America. My experience of living, working and travelling in Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua opened my eyes to something quite remarkable and made me want to see more.

We are filled by so much fear of the unknown that prejudice is born. Because of this people are so scared to go to new places in case of being mugged or killed. If we awalys thought like this then we'd never do anything, never see or learn anything. I treat people with respect and see the good in them until I proven wrong...I am still waiting to be proven wrong.

PHILOSOPHY

I once saw a crappy tv programme where they interviewed a drunken homeless guy. He came out with this quote, which I still think of today.

"It's nice to be important but it's even more important to be nice"

Music wise is things such as Tom Waits, Beatles, Sublime, REM, Artic Monkeys, The Who, Led Zepllin, Mr scruff, Nirvana, Sublime, Manu Chao.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Whilst volunteering in Guatemala, I was walking back to the school with a group of children. One of them popped into a shop and bought himself a packet of crisps. He then gave one to the six younger children around us and then offered one to me before he had one.

I found on this trip that generally people who had nothing were so kind and thoughtful and always made me feel welcome. If only the whole world were like this.

Being laughed at by small children for being the only gringos eating in a food market in Escuintla and then laughing at my friend's reaction to finding a chicken's foot in her meal.

Caving with only a candle for a light in Semuc Champey Guatemala. Boarding down a volcano just outside Leon, Nicaragua.
