About Me
Hello!
Irish guy here from just outside Dublin. 27 and travelling for another 4 months or so.
I'm a pretty laid back guy, I get on with most people. Definetly express myself better in small groups than in large ones where I can get a little bit lost and grow too quiet. In smaller groups, I feel I can be more myself and I like to think I have a good sense of humour and very easy to chat to.
I am openly gay, just in case that is an issue for some.
Bit of a geek at times. I like my video games (Pokemon4life!) but also obsessed with my sport (football in particular, real football not that handegg stuff)
Not much of a museum or church person here, culture and history just doesn't really excite me. Prefer doing things that get the adrenaline pumping a little more, or seeing things that are so unique and strange that you can't help but be impressed by.
I work as a primary school teacher back home and at times I'm certainly a big kid myself. However there are other times, I feel a lot older than my 27 years. Much prefer a nice pub setting than a raving club for example.
Ok I'm boring myself now a little so I'll leave it there for now!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Heard a ridiculous amount of good things from people traveling so far.
I just felt it would be a nice alternative way to meet people other than just hostels. Having a global group of friends sounds really cool.
I also like the give and take idea of the site. Being able to be a guest in someone's home and then being able to give back the favour and host myself back home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music, I love my mainstream chart music. I was a self confessed 1D fan for years and am now following Zayns solo career with interest. I'm also a fan of the Biebs new stuff too.
If you haven't blocked me by now I'm very surprised!
But to be fair, I do have a fairly broad interest. I love Ed Sheeran, Kygo, The Killers, Bastille, so pretty generic stuff but also big into my movie soundtracks too. Hans zimmer is a God!
Books, well this trip has been great for getting me reading again. Major fan of all things Brandon Sanderson, have also got into Steven King in a big way too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once watched all 8 Harry Potter movies straight through!
What?...still not impressed?
Ok well I suppose, this trip has been my amazing thing. I know for others it may not be a big deal, but I was pretty nervous about taking off on my own for 7 months to travel so I'm proud of myself for just buying the round the world ticket in the first place, but also the planning I put into this trip and the saving and extra jobs I had to do also.
(Oh and the Harry Potter thing was actually a lie, I wouldn't sit through 1 & 2 if you paid me)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Aside from my AMAZING personality?
Well I'm not the most diverse cook but I do have a couple of nice meals up my sleeve that I would be happy to cook for my host.
Easy company for a beer or two too!
