Overview
About Me
I've been happily self employed for the past 13 years running my own photography business. I'm dedicated to using my photography skills as a way contribute to the greater. I'm laid back, kind, helpful, and easy to get along with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love putting myself in situations where I have to meet and interact with new people. Being a photographer constantly tosses me into those situations. Couchsurfing is a logical extension of that.
Interests
Photography (obviously) - I work primarily with non-profits and other organizations that have a mission I believe in.
Yoga - I've been practicing yoga for 12 years now. It keeps me fit, centered and surrounded by a wonderful community of amazing individuals.
Outdoors - Almost all of my vacations are spent doing outdoor activities. I regularly go on multi-day kayaking trips, spend winters in the mountains of Colorado skiing and hiking in the forest that's behind our cabin, backpack all over the U.S., etc.
My Friends - Most of my down time is spent with my friends where we usually cook, drink, and make fires in our backyards. We're a wild and eccentric group comprised of artists, carpenters, yogis, and liberals who are loving, compassionate, and open minded. I am so lucky to have them in my life.
I ride my bike everywhere.
Tyler School of Art Alumni Board - I'm the president of said board. There's about twelve of us that volunteer our time to engage current and potential alumni by providing outlets that empower, unite and grow the Tyler School of Art and it’s community of alumni. We carry this out through a myriad of strategically planned and fiscally sound educational, career, social, fundraising, and scholarship opportunities.

Music, Movies, and Books
NPR, This American Life, RadioLab, and TedTalks are all podcasts I listen to on a regular basis.
I don't watch many movies, TV or read books (although I do love doing all of those things). I just don't make time for them in about 10 years or so. I do read over a myriad of national newspapers and other online news sites every day to stay in touch with what's going on.
My musical tastes vary across almost all genres and decades. I'm a huge collector of music. 1920-30's big band and blues up through this decade.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you how to use your DSLR Camera or take a portrait of you. I'm also happy to contribute to chores or other needs around the house (groceries, clean, etc) to pull my weight.
