In other news, I work as a research engineer at the University of Bath, UK. This essentially means I know a great deal about a very few things, and very little about a great many things.

In general, I'm probably pretty normal and enjoy the normal sorts of activities and interests. The only thing I'd say you should be aware of is my tendency to undertake the ritual sacrifice of an ironing board on an exposed hilltop under a gibbous moon every once in a while. Some people apparently think this is a bit odd.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have (occasionally a little reluctantly) done my share of wondering about the world, but new to this Couchsurfing idea and thought I'd give it a try. Sounds like a great way to meet new people wherever I happen to be going, and I firmly believe you can't beat personal advice and opinions from someone local to get to know a place properly. And let's be honest, hotels are seriously expensive!
