ABOUT ME

Hello fellow wanderers.

I have a number of interests mostly involving the outdoors such as climbing, walking (or hiking if you prefer and fell-running. I especially enjoy travelling and exploring new places be they wild remote far off countries or even just the mountains around my home in the Lake District or in Snowdonia. I'm a bit of a twitcher (birdwatcher) and also am developing my skills as a Botanist. I also enjoy playing my guitar, reading and I have an interest in almost anything at all from Ancient history too particle physics.

I have got a job at Glen Nevis SYHA for the summer and I can't wait to start. It would be great to meet some people from the area particularly if you share my interest in mountains!

I want to meet people from all around the world both when I am in the UK and when I am travelling, if anyone wants advice on anywhere to visit in the UK I am happy to recommend places. I would also be happy to act as an informal tour guide while people are in the local area. When I go travelling I would love to meet local people who could do the same for me.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I have a good knowledge of Britain, especially its mountain areas (history, natral history, geology etc).
General mountaineering and walking techniques (navigation etc). I have completed both my ML and SPA training and will be doing my assesments for both in the near future.
I'm a bit of a birdwatcher and an amateur botanist so I might be able to help with any identifications or I could show people some of my favourite sites
