Overview
About Me
I'm a screenwriter, novelist, filmmaker, PhD student in creative writing and associate lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University. I've lived in Thailand and South Korea as well as England and Wales, and I really love to travel, learn languages, and experience different cultures. If I can strum a guitar and talk about life with some nice new people whilst doing it then all the better.

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of music but let's go with a few of the biggies: Waits, Cash, Buckley, Zeppelin, post-punk, alt rock, blues, soul, motown, etc etc.
I'm a film critic, screenwriter and filmmaker, so my film taste is too big a subject to go into here! I generally like independent or independently spirited films with interesting ideas, and my favourite is Annie Hall.
And as I'm also a novelist and a lecturer in creative writing this too is a big subject, but I love 20th and 21st century literary fiction, especially The Road by Cormac McCarthy and number9dream by David Mitchell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kayaked around the mangrove trees on the coast of Koh Lanta and communed with the macaques. Found a portal to happiness at Doi Suthep... :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, writing, filmmaking and a few songs on the guitar, and I'm super keen to learn more Spanish and keep up my Thai (my Korean is very basic and fading fast!).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good humour, kind disposition, curious attitude and a few songs.
