About Me

I'm an experienced business professional with a love for food and travel. I started out as an intern for a Senator and worked my way up to Director of Constituent relations. I decided to shift from politics to pizza and took a position with Domino's in their leadership development program. I relocated from Domino’s world headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI to Las Vegas, NV. From there I relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah where I supported Domino's Team USA as Manager of Corporate Operations.

Utah is where I met my wife, Kayla, and where we both developed a love for the outdoors. Kayla was a travel nurse at the time, who took short term assignments to help under staffed hospitals. She got to live in many states across the country, and the biggest benefit is that she got to meet me! We made many fond memories in Utah that will always have a special place in our hearts.

I currently work for Burger King corporate as an Area Franchise Leader, supporting franchisees and promoting growth and development. My territory of 400 restaurants covers Michigan and part of Ohio and Indiana. It's not a job most people realize exists or that I ever thought I would be doing, but it's fun and fits me well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting interesting people and learning about their story. Meeting other travel lovers shows you a unique side of the places you visit and sparks inspiration for future trips. I'm the type of guy who prefers to have a local experience over commercialized tourist attractions, and Couchsurfing seems like a great way to do it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to every Burger King in Michigan. Not many people can say that.

My wife says that I have a very unique set of friends, with diverse backgrounds and with unique personalities. I would have to agree.

-One of my best friends from college is Indian and I spoke at his wedding. If you haven't been to an Indian wedding, you are missing out. He came riding in on a white horse and there were 4 delicious meals. It was amazing!
-My roommate from freshmen year in college turned down Harvard Law School for Yale and graduated the top of his class. Now he's a big shot lawyer in Chicago and yet still one of the most humble people you will ever meet.
-One of my degrees is in Political Theory. Hence, I've got friends on both sides of the aisle who have very strong political beliefs and are very involved in politics. While I did work for a Senator for a few years and like to stay updated with current events, I'm not going to force my political views on you or judge you based on who you voted for in the last election. There are so many other interesting things we can talk about, politics doesn't have to be one of them.

Teach, Learn, Share

-I like talking about personal finance, budgeting, investing, stocks, and real estate.
-I have a unique knowledge in restaurant franchising and development.
-I'm good at cooking, baking, and grilling. My specialty is Lebanese and I've gotten pretty good at Indian food as well.
-I prefer local restaurants over big chains, which is pretty ironic considering my line of work.
