About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing the world capitals...and other places of interest

ABOUT ME

I was on here before, but deleted my original profile for various reasons...but here I am, back for more!

Now living in Madrid!

Well, I'm Chris, 27 from Liverpool, graduate of a music conservatory in Birmingham, England, and currently working as an English as a Foreign Language teacher. I completed my mission of visiting all 50 European countries, finishing with Liechtenstein in April 2013. And incidentally, I visited all the capitals as well (except Ankara, annoyingly!) the next mission? who knows...Africa? South Pacific? we'll see!

My personality? Well...I don't know...an eclectic mix of bits of everything. I'm not going to describe myself as a constantly happy man, but at the same, not going to say I'm a moody bugger 24/7! I'd like to think I can get on with just about everyone and anyone, but that's down to YOUR interpretation ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Rule nothing in or out! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a lot more than I've hosted (although if you count people I knew from outside Couchsurfing...I've hosted more!), but I tried to do it as much as I possibly could.

Music, Movies, and Books

My main music interests lie in Classical music and theatre, though I remain open to all ideas in music. Comedy movies are my favourite, and sadly the only books I tend to read are guide books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing a glacier in Iceland
Being caught on the BBC News in Birmingham
Seeing the Il Cannone violin in Genoa
Watching the changing of the guard in Moscow
Floating on the Jordanian Dead Sea
Looking down on New York from the Empire State and Rockafella Centre
Marrying my husband in Denmark in August 2015
Celebrating Holi with Mumbai locals
Going to the opera in the Bolshoi Theatre

and many many more

Teach, Learn, Share

1) Use a Cabinmax bag

2) Shop at local supermarkets

3) Make the most of student discounts

For visitors of the UK, I can help out with the dizzying railway and bus systems! I help out even the locals ;)
