Hi CS'er :)

I'm an Artist and Content Creator originally from Sydney and more recently Tasmania in Australia. I'm currently travelling from Spain to Greece to create a documentary series and write a book called the 'Energy Exchange' - focused on helping young people experience the world and find their purpose along the way.

My background is professional sport, and after a short career in the Australian Football League (AFL), I became a Personal Trainer. I quickly developed an interest in Human Movement and studied fascia release and corrective exercise. This is where I first learnt the value of having a mentor!

I wanted to work with kids so eventually I slowed down the Personal Training and moved into youth Soccer part-time. I became the Strength & Conditioning Coach for 3 junior football teams, and then made the move to Tasmania for family reasons. After doing some bar work in Hobart, I eventually worked from home as consultant and writer. The writing (as well as getting into the Tasmanian wilderness) led to photography and videography, and now I'm setting off to fulfil a dream as a travelling Artist and Content Creator.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love learning from the wisdom of others and hearing their stories from home and abroad. In every place I've travelled to so far, the people and their home have their own special story which has made each trip all the more memorable.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: mostly deep/tech house, chill-out, classical and world music...

Movies: Jim Carrey's comedies, inspirational movies such as 'Pursuit of Happyness'/'Remember the Titans', and true-stories including 'The Pianist', 'Catch Me If You Can' and 'The Wolf Of Wall Street'.

Books: 'Think And Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill; 'Conversations With God' by Neale Donald Walsch; a lot of personal development, and more recently spiritual texts.

Whatever the case when it comes to books, 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Cuelho is definitely my number 1 favourite :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My second workaway job in Algeciras for the month of March...

I arrived knowing only a little Spanish, and my host only knew a little English. For the whole time we kept dictionaries near us because we couldn't understand each other...but after one month and many challenges, I can now speak enough Spanish to get me around...

I helped prepare his home for an art exhibition, and with some inspiration from the garden I ended up creating a sculpture of a snake and painting it with Aboriginal style design. It was a gift to say thank you for a month that changed my life. I'll always remember it :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

One of my biggest passions is cooking, and I love to share recipes and cooking styles with others.

I also love to share what I've learnt in health, fitness, nutrition and the mindset/creativity space, and for a few years I did a lot of study into Social Media and Online Marketing...so I can always hep there if someone needs it!

Generally, I just love to share laughs and good stories. There's nothing quite like connecting with new people and enjoying that special time to make friends that you may have for life.
