I'm a Canadian traveller who took a year off after graduating medical school to fulfill a long held childhood dream of travelling around the world. So far, my travels have taken me through North Africa, the Middle East, through Central Asia along the Silk Road, into China, southeast Asia and South America. I have just finished my residency for general practice/family medicine and now I am traveling through Indonesia

I'm looking for a more immersive travel experience which often comes when interacting with a host who is willing to explain aspects of local culture, recommend places to check out, or involve me in community events. I appreciate any and every effort to help me with that goal.

When I am finally finished travelling and back at home in Canada, I hope to be able to provide the same experience to other travellers.
